Previously a long traditional townhouse with a courtyard, the architects believed that the new family house with a new indoor garden will bring a connection between past & present. The indoor garden also function as a lightwell bringing in skylight to the interior space where sun light has been largely block by the high-rise building from the main facade. Machi House is indeed a simple yet elegance house with good interpretation by UID architects. Minimal form and clean-lines but fully used of natural resources such as skylight & cross ventilation in its designs. + UID Architects | Dezeen |
